Climate change is one of the most pressing threats to life on our planet.
Through the power of music, we, together with the musicians of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in Hamburg – wanted to make an undeniable point. Adapting one of the most well-known depictions of nature in music history: Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”, we’ve created the first concert that translates climate data into music, with the help of algorithms. More importantly, the music metropolis of Hamburg becomes the home of a unique piece that makes the climate crisis globally audible – ‘For Seasons.’ For all the climate deniers out there, we created a music piece that can’t be ignored. Together with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and the sound talents of KlingKlangKlong, a recomposed version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons was born and officially performed on the 16th of November 2019 at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. With the data of the climate change and the use of algorithms we made the change hearable and unforgettable.
FOR Seasons premiered at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg to a sold-out crowd and to 150,000 live viewers on Facebook. Just in a month, the voice of climate change achieved a global reach of 1 billion contacts. Moreover,
For Seasons is now a partner of United Nations Development Program and new concerts are being arranged.
